booze: i tried an espresso martini over the weekend and i am now haunted by how good it was. i don't even like coffee? and i'm not really into vodka anymore?? and yet somehow you combine those two with kahlúa and it MAY WELL be my new favorite cocktail??? absolute madness.

also, my partner very conveniently has one of those hit-a-button-generate-espresso machines so. i may start makin' this drink on the regular

books: i read the first three pages of this month's selection for Bird Book Club, decided i hate this fucking book, and then proceeded to read a couple hundred pages of The Time Traveler's Wife. which i have decided is also not a very good book, but i'm like halfway in, soooo, sunk cost fallacy has kicked in. alas.

we discuss the book club book, uh, tomorrow, so. guess i'll skim it tonight so i have something to talk about. rip. this book club has turned me into such a picky bitch! there's a lot of nature writing out there and most of it is just too purple and effusive and tedious for my tastes!

bar exams: uh, fictional ones, that is. look i just liked the alliteration okay. really this is ace attorney fandom nonsense

* i'm pleased to announce that my current Apollo Justice WIP involves BOTH Apollo being sad, and Apollo being an asshole. my two favorite things. i'm delighted. i'm living

* man, writing a new fandom that's like, LARGE AND POPULAR, without any real context on what the popular headcanons/interpretations/etc are, is a bit bewildering. like, what is popular opinion on athenaquill? klapollo? what vibes do The Masses generally think they project? i have NO idea so, looking forward to finding out who is Right (agrees with me) and who is Wrong (disagrees with me) real soon now (when i actually hit publish on one of these... five WIPs, oh my god how are there five of them, look i dunno how i got here either)

I couldn't even finish reading that garbage comment because it tripped some fuss still buried in my brain from a tiny!fandom ages ago where someone commented on my fic (one of like....twelve...that existed for the entire fandom) to complain I was writing about a character he didn't like. omg some people are just so incredibly butthurt over the most amazing things.

EDIT: But what I meant to say before I tabbed and hit enter is, wow, this guy is both funny and awful.

omg... it's such a ridiculous kind of comment to make in *general*, but in a small fandom it's even more absurd. like. re: someone, have they heard of the story about the beggars and the choosers :P
