radiant dawn is a blast imo... i always feel a little shy recommending it because it's not the most accessible thing (requires either emulation or a very expensive used game purchase; it's pretty long; the game shows its age in some ways), BUT. it really does have the most full/complete cast of almost any FE game, imo, and is why i keep being drawn back to it for fic—endless potential for court intrigue and textured goodness...!
but the nice thing about fic is it's there forever :) if you ever do take the Radiant Dawn plunge, it will be waiting there for you!
