until i realized m128 is in fact identical to m144, but m144 ends on a different note, and since i was playing fast enough that i wasn't doing as much conscious "piloting" (it's impossible to think about Every Individual Note when you're playing at a certain speed, right), well. my brain/muscle memory/whatever decided arbitrarily which note it should end on. and it kept picking Wrong :D;;;

This reminds me so much of the most frequent source of typos for me when writing, lol.

My favorite recent instance of which, when trying to type out a spirit action in Spirit Island recently, was mapping "Transform Rather than Consume" to "Transform Rather than Sudoku". Like, brain/fingers? What? Why? XD

I'll add myself to the chorus of people who really enjoyed reading your rundown! It's a great reminder of the usefulness of deliberate practice in a lot of things + it sounds like you're having a grand time and will be able to put your fun new skills into practice soon. :D

(Incidentally, since I noticed the music you're focusing on is from Clair Obscur, you might enjoy: there were quite a few people dressed in stereotypical French outfits at PAX who were apparently E33 cosplayers, including one with a baguette slung across his back. And while wandering past console freeplay one evening, I spotted someone playing a very pretty-looking game with lovely overworld navigation and an interesting-looking turn-based combat system and uh. I guess I'm going to have to find the time to play this game myself now. XD)
