lol magfest is like the only con i'd ever play something like this. the nice thing about it is that there's mini-performance-spaces scattered all OVER the place, and if no one's currently playing there, you can just... play something yourself! so there's usually at least one point there is a vulnerable, unattended piano, and that is when miscreants like myself can POUNCE without dealing with like. mainstage-size crowds (or having mainstage-level skills lol). bless magfest what a good thing to exist

and yeah 1:1 coaching/mentorship/etc is just. crazy effective imo. very handy when the fit's there...!
