Lost in Lualand

bluesy/jazz stuff is my big weak point... i did technically play piano in jazz band in high school, but uh, not a very good jazz band, and i in particular was not very good :D;;; i had so much classical training at that point that being asked to improv or do stuff "on the fly" generally felt very deer-in-headlights for me lol. i do like classical repertoire well enough, but it is a shame that that approach is the "default" since yeah i know lots of people who would've stuck with it much longer if they could've been trained in a different style!
