Thanks for the explanation -- I learned that the Hussites, pre-Luther, made a big deal about the communion cup from reading Consuelo by George Sand (which is the sort of 19th century novel that is happy to interrupt its plot with a long infodump about Hussites), but didn't know all the details about the negotiations with Luther!
