Lost in Lualand

I hadn't heard either version until a few years ago when I was in Tennessee and we went to the Johnny Cash museum, and it was interesting and all (I was more about the country music hall of fame, as one does) and then I got to the end and saw the video and I was rapt. I stood there unmoving for multiple repeats like I'd been fae-cursed. Holy shit. (The texture of the original is a little bit off-putting for me, so I prefer the Cash version, but your description of it makes it so interesting to me that I wish it didn't make the whatever it is in my brain yodel that BAD GO AWAY.)
