Yepppp I also listened to the Bright Sessions and echo that dissatisfaction. There were so many interesting ideas, but never executed well enough (plus feeling...weirdly twee in how it chose to match up characters and BFFs) to make me feel satisfied with its development.
(Plus it was SO WEIRD in how it chose to introduce Mark as bi? "Oh no what if Damian assaults him, I know Mark's bi but that doesn't make it okay" like WHAT.)
