I really liked The Poppy War -- well, OK, "liked" is probably not the right word -- I was very impressed by it -- but found the second book disappointing and petered out around the middle. (I did actually really enjoy the fancy school section, because I'm a sucker for magic school as a trope.)
Definitely curious to check out more of her work, though!
