...If nothing beyond my control changes, FE3H is scheduled to arrive at my doorstep sometime Monday. ;)

I wandered off for a while to watch the official trailers -- so pretty! -- and sample a handful of minutes from a long review video. This looks like such a good game for my Switch.

Did a little research on the other games using this post as a starting point and had two ah-ha moments. (1) I was a latercomer to Nintendo and, at best, Nintendo was always a secondary or tertiary system for me, a PC+Sony gamer, which is how/why I missed the entire FE series until now. (2) The earliest FE games inspired Tactics Ogre, Final Fantasy Tactics, and Disgaea. OOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! Well, I see 500 hours of my life disappearing into yet another tactics JRPG.

As for the self-insert PC, actually, this is (or can be) a bonus from my POV. I am pro GaryStu/MarySue, especially MarySue, for so many hard core (academic) critical theory/media theory reasons, and RPGs are the perfect medium for this kind of character so, actually, I'm now interested to see how this plays out in FE3H. (Checks order + delivery status. Still monday.)
