Plundering your recent drop of book posts b/c I’m in the market for something /different/ to read. And then I saw this and had to comment. Omfg. Brought back memories of distant past and young guys in their earliest 20s (and always, always only white) who were deeply into nature is the Answer(tm) ... and shoving this book at me and telling me about some other older mentor guy du jour working in some sort of nature-oriented profession praising this writer...
And me getting no more than 4 pages in to this book and instinctually/protectively zoning out and tossing it aside.
Omfg those two pages you posted I just cannnot. The level of privilege behind that viewpoint. I am so uncomfortable. So entirely uncomfortable.
