i haven't gone in a bit since i don't work on Linux anymore, and thus wouldn't have as much context/investment, but it was super neat to be like "oh, hello person-who-i've-worked-with-online, now i can see you irl! oh hello person-who-maintains-a-subsystem-i-care-a-lot-about, let me share my opinions about what rough spots i've been hitting in that subsystem!" and so on and so forth
