!! hell yeah Attolia was awesome -- her savage, skillful drag of certain barons / ambassadors had me grinning. and i love the Mediterranean setting -- i'm glad it's not a copycat Greece by extension! such a fun book, argh. i too am in the midst of reading the sequel and the world-building for Attolia as a country is pretty divine. :')
ahhh that Aki Irie book looks gorgeous, what a beautiful setting for a story. i love the notion of "trusting" an author to lead a reader somewhere -- that's a cool observation i hadn't thought about before, but makes complete sense.
