I actually don’t like showering much either (unless there is a physical need, like “just worked out” or something) — fibro makes showers into overstimulating balance games whee there’s at least a 25% chance I’ll trigger something awful just by being in the wet and anyway between that and my hair I’ve adopted a policy of showering every 2-3 days (unless, like I said, external need).
My hair is fuckin Polish / Eastern European shite: thin, straggly, stringy, yet frizzy, halfway between curly and straight in a way that does NOT produce “natural waves”. Hair and I have been at war for years. We finally have hit a stalemate and that stalemate came from using normal shampoo/conditioner and a small bit of argan oil on the ends. Argan oil is made of goddamn magic.
Rather than that complicated crap, get ye to a store and buy a perfectly normal shampoo and conditioner that cost like $3. You shampoo, then work a blob of conditioner through your hair, then rinse. It is very simple. And there’s little chance of over conditioning with, like, Pantene or whatever.
