lol. it wasn't meant to be a call-out! i have very excellent friends who disagree with my tastes all the time; otherwise what would i have to shitpost about :P
i think le guin's nonfiction/essay stuff comes across very very differently than her fiction. like, i'd recommend "A Wave in the Mind" or "The Language of the Night" to just about anyone; they're super-readable and she always has really cool insights. her fiction is... i mean, i love it, but it often shows that her faves are Tolkien and Dickens and Tolstoy, none of which are actually known for being... particularly page-turn-y... (i've started LotR like five times and never been able to get through them, lol.)
also her book "Steering the Craft" is probably my favorite "how 2 write gud" book ever.
