the bit i played certainly seems to. no quest markers—or uh, rather, the game has a mechanic where you place your own quest markers. so you can climb a mountain and say "hey what's that interesting shadowy place" and place a marker so you don't lose track of it, but the game doesn't hand you any quest markers or have obvious HEY GO THIS WAY arrows or anything. feels a bit bushwhacky.
i like it so far. a lot of that might be the graphics. i played skyrim for a few hours once and just couldn't get past over how gray and blocky and sad everything looked. this game is bright and beautiful and teems with random birds that i took photos of because of course and. yeah.
it'll still be there when/if you decide to get a switch, though; i wouldn't be playing it if i weren't just mooching off The Boy :P . (probably going to break down and buy a ps4 soon though. can you believe the ps3 is over a decade old now?!?!)
