even real life interactions can be performative, of course. internet is the case i babble / think the most about, since i spend so much time online, but certainly i've known plenty of social chameleons in my time who can act tooootally different just based on which humans they're around at that very moment.
and yes offline tea sometime would be the best, i will point at birds & say their names & stuff~
