honestly i credit that poetry collection a lot for my future love of poetry! it's got such a good range, picked from such a variety that i think just about anyone would find something they enjoy in it... prior to that i think i thought of poetry as mostly old-fashioned and sticking to rules of rhyme and such so it was neat to have lil-kid-me's brain expanded like "oh there's so much more going on in this scene than i knew"
