The resources and urban/rural thing had me whimpering, I'm not gonna lie. Like. I had really supportive parents who were willing and able to invest in anything I made a vaguely interested noise at; I didn't have every *toy* I wanted growing up but books? lessons? those things were immediately mine for the asking. things that let me grow and pursue interests were just. There. And I grew up somewhere that those things were *available,* too, which cannot be overstated. There's just so much *access* baked into that, that I think people don't understand and don't think about (it goes back to that speech that President Obama got so much fucking shit for, "somebody built that.")
